Take me away on a vacation in one of these. When exposing yourself in little amounts of clothing, aka in a swimsuit, it’s all about finding the right fit for your body. I’m going to give you a few tips to finding the style, fit and brand of swimsuit that will work for your body.
Full Coverage
For a more full-coverage feel, go with the 1-piece suit. This printed suit draws your eyes in, creating the illusion of a slimmer waistline. The peek-a-boo cut-out also adds a touch of sex appeal that women assume they won’t get from a 1-piece suit. Avoid cut-outs on the sides or stomach, unless you’re asking to show where you’re hiding your dessert you had last night.
Hips Don’t Lie
If you’ve got hips-for-days, tie-side bikini bottoms are for you. They sit higher on your hips and give the illusion of longer, slimmer legs (trust me on this one). Avoid a thick band on your hips, as it draws more attention to them. For a woman with boxy or straight hips, try thicker sides on your bottoms. They will help create a shape on your hips and backside.
Tatas for Life
Lastly, let’s talk about your boobs! I’m loving a wired bandeau top for a fuller-cup-sized woman. They offer side support and a lift, while still being flirty. For a smaller bust, choose a fringe, ruffled or printed top. These give the impression of a little extra volume and dimension.
Once you find a brand that works FOR your body, stick to it!
