Hello lingerie!  Sweetly Inked is my new lingerie obsession.  It’s the sultry, dark, romantic type.  This collection reminds me of Mila Kunis sans Black Swan.  The concept behind the brand is that after you strip down all the layers of clothes, you’re left with the human body.  It’s the canvas for beautiful artwork and tattoos. This lingerie is artwork for the body.  The asymmetrical lines are so sexy and interesting.  Sign me up for this strapless bra (above in middle).

To kick off the week let’s talk about Philosophy’s upcoming Resort 2014 line.  This collection is a great twist on the modern-woman-meets-the-countryside.  She’s conservative, with an edge (imagine that).  I love how these pieces are wearable for every day.  Each look has something unique to it from sheer inserts to accentuated sleeves.  They’re beautifully simple and crisp.  I’m dying to throw on this sweater dress (above in middle) with some pop-of-color heels.

First off, I want to wish my dad an amazing Father’s Day.  My dad always jokes around with me (must be why I’m so funny- ha), tries to connect with me by talking about the newest celeb news on OMG! Yahoo and adores my mom.  What else could a daughter want right, right!  To celebrate the father figure in your life, let’s chat about a few things every dad needs.  Billfold.  Bow tie.  Socks.  I always remember my dad being specific on his wallet.  It was a certain style, color and fabric.  I never understood why but it left an impression.  Next is a bow tie.  I have yet to get my dad rocking one, but I will.  It’s classic and refreshing (just rock one please dad).  Lastly a fresh pair of socks.  Every man needs good dress socks and every day socks, so load him up.  Happy Father’s Day to all the dads.

Today’s look was inspired by Rogan‘s Spring 2013 collection.  Give me some denim-on-denim and call it good.  These looks are so crisp, simple and cool.  I like the fully buttoned up feel of the shirts, paired with the boyfriend shorts.  It’s a good contrast of structure and ease within one look.  For my version, I chose a chambray button up with distressed, denim shorts.  Calm and cool.  Oh, with a punch of ‘wow’ in my bow tie.

The ‘every-day-man’ is looking for pieces that make him look good while being functional for his day’s agenda.  Typically, these pieces tend to be not so fashionable (let’s be real here).  Flint and Tinder has created the men’s summer shorts (here).  They’re functional for every day life and second as board shorts.  I’m happily surprised at how cool and simple they are.  Wish your dad had some style?  Grab an extra pair for him for Father’s Day.

Seriously, holy cow.  Last week, I stumbled upon my new favorite brand, Three Floor.  Each piece in their collection is dramatic and different.  It makes a statement without needing any assistance.  The lace overlays, cut outs and prints are so beautifully executed.  The woman wearing this line is not afraid to get a double take at the bar or stared at in a meeting.  Even though these looks are bold, they can easily go from day to night.  I really need to get my hands on this striped number- I think we’d make each other happy.  Make a statement and shop the Three Floor collections.

The runways are dripping with the Resort 2014 collections.  I’m melting over the futuristic feel to Barbara Bui‘s collection.  Boxy silhouettes are my favorite.  They are a hint towards menswear styling but still can be sexy and feminine.  These accentuated shoulders are the perfect touch to the minimalist vibe this season.  The Barbara Bui woman is simple and direct.  She’s going out, wearing what she wants.  On trend or something unique, this woman is the modern, stylish woman.  Sign me up!

My weekends have been full of catching up on what I didn’t get done during the week, between my pre-summer events.  Sometimes it’s good to just chill, do nothing and actually relax.  This look is perfect for just that.  It’s super casual but still sexy.  Although these pants are sweats, the knee patches and zipper details give them a more tailored feel.  Sweat pants and faux leather- yes please.  Leather always gives a look an instant kick of sex appeal.  This faux leather tank is a great edgy touch.  Kick up your feet and just chill this weekend, Happy Friday!

Seeing stripes?  Love it.  Marc Jacobs‘ Spring 2013 collection was the perfect style inspiration for this week’s look.  Stripes speak volume without needing any color or accessories.  I’m loving the playful feel to the striped looks this season.  They’re a nice change from the classic, sailor stripes.  Work with multiple striped pieces to build a funky striped look of your own.  I used thinner stripes but I’m excited to try a wider, bold look like Marc’s collection.
