Ambyr Hanks: Stylist/Blogger/Social Media Coordinator
Starting out at FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising), Ambyr began her journey into ‘the industry’. She graduated with honors in Merchandise Product Development. Expanding her knowledge and love for fashion shows, she began dressing for top designers at LA Fashion Week. Working along side the press teams and designers, she grew a passion for creating and developing a look from start to finish. Ambyr has dressed for designers such as Sue Wong, Louis Verdad, Grimaldi Giardina, Jennifer Nicholson and Alan Del Rosario. She’s styled and produced fashion shows for Juel Park Lingerie and Four-Me-LA.
Ambyr was recently invited to be the Red Carpet Fashion Correspondent at the OC Fashion Showcase. Here, Ambyr had the opportunity to step backstage, on the red carpet and front row to interview designers, models, performers and VIP guests on the season’s trends. Come see her live video recap here.
Ambyr’s keen eye for ‘what works’ has led her to a career in the styling industry. She’s worked for celebrity stylist Joey Tierney and assisted on independent films, as a costumer. She’s now launched into styling her own client base of industry professionals and celebrities.
With her love of writing, she was able to start a career in the blogging industry, writing for Urban 1972, Joey Tierney’s blog, www.hautestreet.com. In early 2011, Ambyr broke off and began The Written Runway. This creative outlet has allowed her to share her love of runway fashion, how to adapt it into every day style and inspire others to express their talents. Ambyr also works as a Social Media Coordinator/Writer to both celebrity stylists Rob Zangardi/Mariel Haenn and previously with Bodywrap Shapewear.
