Today, I wanted to flash back to last week at fashion week. I’m still recapping on shows I saw and sharing the goods. One of my most anticipated shows was Monika Chiang‘s Fall 2013 Preview. Not only are the clothes her line, but the jewelry, bags and shoes are all her creations (I want these shoes and bags). Although many designers do accessories lines, they don’t actually show head-to-toe looks on the runways. This collection for Monika was leaning heavy on the metal details and on the volume of the fabrics. By volume, I’m speaking textures and depth. Her sheer looks were dainty and edgy, while her heavier fabrics were so modern and sleek. Monika’s collections are for the every day woman who has a little edge (hello leather).
