The Written Runway

Let’s talk runway shows!  I love attending fashion week and seeing everything live.  Something in my brain just creates ideas, concepts and full looks when you can see the clothes moving on the runways.  I was so excited to see CZAR by Cesar Galindo‘s Fall 2013 collection.  I feel his collections speak to my style, girly and sweet but with a little edge.  Amazingly, I was offered to sit in the front row (obviously filling a seat for someone who couldn’t make it but I’ll take it, any time).  This was my first time sitting front row and oddly enough, it makes a world of a difference.  Cesar’s clothes felt that much more alive.  The colors were so bold and the metallics were reflecting the lights beautifully.  Cesar brought a rich mix of textures and fabrics to each look.  Not only were they tailored beautifully from the front, but each look was making a statement from behind.  There were open backs, peek-a-boos of fabric layers and loosely draping straps.  This collection is for the woman who is confident and wants an outfit to reflect her personality.  Take a look at a few of my favorite looks (below).
