Falling for knits

Today, I was inspired by fall knit sweaters.  I’m surprised that I’m ready to be bundled up in layers, but maybe that’s what happens when it’s still 100 degrees out in October.  This sweater is adorable!  I love the chunky knit braiding and the cropped silhouette.  The perfect pairing to a cropped knit sweater is a high-waisted skirt.  I personally love to play on textures so leather was a great mix.  For accessories, color is key.  So, I know people don’t think brown and black go together- but they do.  These booties are INSANE (please, find your way onto my feet).  The limey-yellow is electric with the browns.  From there, a simple black clutch, mixing in more texture, was perfect for this look.  Lastly, this wooden necklace compliments the booties and the playful look perfectly.  Pretty much, I’d risk melting in the heat to wear this outfit.

How do you style your cropped knit sweater?

Sweater: Oakley

Skirt: DKNY

Necklace: Baublebar

Clutch: AllSaints

Bootie: United Nude
