The Written Runway

Today’s menswear inspiration is from NYFW.  Tomorrow begins the fashion week madness (can’t wait!).  I’ve put together a few pieces that are necessities if you’re attending fashion week or for those of us attending Fashion’s Night Out events (FNO).  When it’s too hot outside to wear a full winter wardrobe, start your fall wardrobe transition with color.  The trending men’s colors for fall are wine, navy and orange (trend report here).  Little pops of color will freshen up a simple look.  A navy blazer is great for watching a runway show or to the after parties.  For a sophisticated touch, try a geeky chic tortoise pair of glasses.  These will look great with a plain tee or with your suit.  Lastly, pick one punch of style by wearing a colored shoe, printed sock or polka dotted tie.  I love menswear looks that are sophisticated and clean but have that one piece that makes the look your own.
