Working in the summer

Today, I was inspired by the working woman.  I wanted to pick out a bunch of work appropriate, close-toed shoes that are still fun and summery.  To mix up the day-to-day neutral business look, try adding in colorful accessories.  Both these yellow and tan flats (above pairs in middle) can be worn to the office with slacks or a pencil skirt and then transfer to the weekend with denim shorts and a white tee.  If you’re looking for a less dramatic look, this nude ballet flat is perfect (above on right).  The scalloped edges are dainty and would match almost any work style.  Try then pairing them with a white summer dress for a beachy feel.  If you feel so daring, look for a pair of flats with an ankle strap (above on left).  These straps can be hidden under a trouser or exposed in shift dress.  Dark red is business ready and will look great with soft summery colors.

Which is your style of work flat?

Ankle Strap Flats: Loeffler Randall

Oxfords: Cole Haan

Geometric Printed Flats: Rebecca Minkoff

Nude Ballet Flats: Chloe
