The Written Runway

Today, I was inspired by 10 Crosby Derek Lam‘s Fall 2012 collection.  This collection has a cool, retro sense to it.  Each piece has the perfect twist to a boring business look.  The jackets and sweaters have peplum skirts and unique ribbing.  You’ll see a lot of mixing of textures.  I love the silky shorts with a jersey sweater styling (above on right).  This fall, you’ll see a lot of pieces with peplum skirting, not attached to a skirt or dress (above on left).  This is a cool way to wear a sweater with a trendy touch.  To get a similar look this fall, try mixing in unexpected pieces, fabrics and prints to your simple business-wear pieces.
