Bubbled in blue

Today, my look was inspired by the bubble dress trend.  I love that each of these bubble dresses would be worn by a completely different woman (above from left to right- Calla, Juicy Couture, Collette Dinnigan).  Bubble dresses can vary from subtle to dramatic.  The key to keeping your figure looking slim while your dress pops out at your hips, is in the top half of your dress.  If your dress (or skirt) bubbles out right below  your chest, your going to look like a giant ball.  And unless you’re Heidi Klum, you’re most likely not going to pull off that look.  With that being said, find something that conforms to your body to give you shape, then pops out at least 3 fingers-wide below your chest.  Make the bubble dress playful with color.  My dress, necklace and nail polishes are a fun blend of different shades of blue.  I wore my dress with nude sandals and over-sized sunnies.  Another fit tip– if you’re wearing flats, a nude pair of sandals will elongate your legs.  Dressed up or dressed down, bubble up this summer!

Would you wear a bubble dress?
