Akris

Today, my outfit was inspired by Akris‘ Spring 2012 collection.  The citrus colorway and sleek piping details were exactly what I needed on a rainy day.  My favorite rainy day piece is my polka dotted umbrella, other than that, I’m not into rainy weather.  To lighten up the day, I chose a bright yellow sweater as my base.  In the Akris collection, I love how they’re mixing navy and black together.  I took this lead and paired a blue skinny jean with a black peacoat and ankle booties.  Mixing in my citrus colors, I chose an orange bag and orange polka dotted umbrella (Go Beavs!).  There’s nothing more than a punch of color to kick away the rain!  Come back for more NY Fashion Week recaps tomorrow.
